Pick up for the cruise on the Perfume River. Visit the ancient and sacred Thien Mu Pagoda. Walk around Thuy Bieu village and stop by Long Chau temple, locally known as “Voi Re” or “Palace of the Crying Elephants”. 200 meters from the temple lies Ho Quyen, an arena elephants and tigers dueled to the death in the old days. Continue to Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc – one of the most beautiful works of royal architecture of Nguyen Dynasty.
In the afternoon, visit Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh – the twelfth king of the Nguyen dynasty, built in 11 years (1920-1931) with a blend of Western and Eastern architecture. Forward to the journey to discover the Imperial Citadel, which is the most massive structure completed between 1804 and 1833 under the Nguyen dynasty. When visiting this construction, you have a chance to explore the royal architecture, admire its ancient charm and a fortification guarded by 80 bunkers and a deep trench of 40m large, connected by a bridge in front of ten gates as well as review the country’s history. Back to the hotel.
