HANOI ARRIVAL

Upon arrival to Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi, you will be warmly welcomed by our staff and transferred to your hotel where you will meet your VXA agent. There you will be given all the information about your tour, the local currency in case you asked for it, and your agent will answer any questions that you could have. After the check-in enjoy your own time for discovering the city or just to relax after the long trip.

HANOI – HOA LU – TAM COC – MUA CAVE – NIGHT TRAIN TO LAO CAI

Pick up and transfer to Hoa Lu – an ancient citadel of 3km2 – to visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh dynasty (968-980), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Ly dynasty (980-1009). Continue to have a boat ride on Ngo Dong river, visit Tam Coc scenery- one of the most famous places in Ninh Binh. You have the chance to visit amazingly nature blessed caves on a romantic boat rowed by local people. Just admire the beauty and take photos to save your time with its beauty. Have lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, it is time to take a biking tour around villages. You will cycle through narrow lane road to see the rice field and feel the pure atmosphere in the countryside. After that exploring Mua Cave which means dancing cave in Vietnamese. You climb up on around 500 steps to top offering the panorama view of Ngo Dong River and Tam Coc. Tam Coc is considered as Halong Bay on land. Having a short rest before coming back to Hanoi.

LAO CAI – SAPA – LAO CHAI – TA VAN

Early morning, arrive Lao Cai train station, we will pick you up and transfer to Sapa by a tourist shared bus. Early check in is possible if the room available otherwise we will provide you a basic room where you can have shower. Start the trip at 9:30 as below. First start of 6km of walking down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong. Continue a 2km-trekking down to Lao Chai village, through terraced rice fields to Ta Van village of the Dzay minority people. Have lunch at a local family, it gives you a worth chance for you to learn about the local house architecture which is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom. Enjoy the landscapes on the way. Last trek is about 2Km to the bus stop in Ta Van villlage then get back to Sapa by jeep or minivan. Free your time to discover the town in the evening.

SAPA – CAT CAT – SIN CHAI – NIGHT TRAIN TO HANOI

Today, you walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. Relax at the food of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the river, and then next 3 km to Sin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes before climbing up on the way a jeep to return to Sapa. Free your time until transfering back to Lao Cai station for a night train to Hanoi.

HANOI – HALONG

Pick up from train station and transfer to the hotel for your fresh shower and breakfast before transferring to Ha Long Bay to cruise amongst the bay’s spectacular scenery. After check-in and security briefings, set sail to enjoy lunch while cruising through fishing village and visit a beach area. The vessel will stop at an island, feel free to go swimming to cool down the summer heat. Enjoy a cooking demonstration with the chef as he prepares some traditional Vietnamese food. Dinner is served on board. At night, you can ask the cruise to do squid fishing.

HALONG – HANOI – HO CHI MINH CITY

Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, visit beautiful limestone grotto then back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Back to the wharf. Say goodbye to Ha Long Bay and transfer to Noi Bai Airport to catch a flight to Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, you will be transferred to hotel for check-in and relax.

HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI TUNNELS 

Start the trip by a short visit to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office to watch the French architecture buildings built during the French colonial time. You also stop at the Reunification palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) which was built in 1962 and is well-known as an outstanding example of 1960’s architecture. Then, head to the War Remnants Museum which which comprehensively documents the travails of the long Vietnam- American War. Afternoon,continue to Cu Chi tunnels – an immense network of connecting underground tunnels used by Vietnamese Revolutionary army during the anti-American resistance war with over 200km long and 12m deep. The tunnels served as hiding spots, communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters. You will be well guided to discover this amazing tunnel with unforgettable feelings. Come back your hotel for relexation.

BIKE TOUR TO ANGKOR THOM & ANGKOR WAT

We start on our bicycle to world heritage areas on the roads less travelled. Ride among the jungle passing local village and local shop. It’s a very special and acting day as you will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist including: – The ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century) – See the South Gate, Bayon Temple – unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara – Baphuon temple lying just to the north of Bayon a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru – We step to see our old palace as Phimeankas temple in huge complex that was used for our king in the past time. – Then Elephant terrace is platform for king and officer viewed show and people meeting. – Preah Palilay was is older than Angkor Thom was nearby, deeply in forest and on path back .You see monk sprinkle water to people. We continue to the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Enjoy foot massage 1hour & walking at busy pub street where you can find many bars for cool drink or shopping at Angkor Night Market.

SIEM REAP: TA PROHM – BANTEAY SREI & CNN HERO

We head further out through rural countryside to the small but beautiful temple of Banteay Srei. This temple is largely built of pink sandstone, a harder rock that can be more elaborately carved and better survives the rigors of time. This is an opportunity to capture some good photographs of the clear and detailed carvings. We’ll pay a visit to the Landmine Museum where Mr. Aki Ra, a former child soldier in the Khmer Rouge who has dedicated his life to helping others in need. You will well listen to his fantastic work during the honer history that earned him a nomination for CNN Hero of the year in 2010. Stop at a local village to visit families who are producing palm sugar. Not to be missed is Banteay Samre. Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer. We continue to Ta Prohm “Tomb Raider” fame. Ta Prohm has been abandoned to the elements, a reminder that while empires rise and fall, the riotous power of nature marches on, oblivious to the dramas of human history. Left as it was ‘discovered’ by French explorer Henri Mouhout in 1860, the tentacle-like tree roots here are slowly strangling the surviving stones, man first conquering nature to create, nature later conquering man to destroy. For the later afternoon we head back into main Angkor Park and journey to Tasom. Tasom offers some beautiful photo spots, especially the rear entrance where tree roots adorn the gateway. We finish by experiencing sunset over the rice fields from the royal crematorium of Pre Rup, a classic view of the Cambodian countryside. Dinner with Apsara Dance show at local restaurant.

SIEM REAP – PHNOM PENH

After breakfast depart Siem Reap for the Tonlé Sap, driving down the eastern side of the lake. Arrive at Kampong Phluk; a ‘flooded forest’. Accessible only during high water, you’ll pass through the tree tops whilst seated in your boat. Nearby is a fishing village where you can also learn more about the traditional methods used for generations. Transfer to Siem Reap airport for a domestic flight to Phnom Penh. Welcome at the airport then transfer to the hotel for check in.

PHNOM PENH’S PAST & PRESENT

Visit to the Royal Palace compound build in 1866 by the Predecessors of King Norodom, is the most conspicuous feature and also one of impressive colorful Khmer-style Palaces. Nearside the Royal Palace is Silver Pagoda (The Emerald Buddha temple), display plenty of Buddha Statues that were decorated and made by diamond, emerald, gold and silver. Continuing visit to National Museum, the distinctive red building with a beautiful Khmer architecture was build since 1917 and contains more than 5000 art objects made of sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, wood and others. Travelers will proceed to visit Independence Monument, which was constructed in 1954 after Cambodian took their country back from French colony. We will learn about the dark side of Cambodia – Its more recent turbulent and harrowing history. Initially you visit the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (also known as S21), ironically a former school, located in a quiet Phnom Penh suburb, this was the infamous Khmer Rouge prison / torture center. We visit Wat Phnom is a Buddhist temple located in center of Phnom Penh City. It was built in 1373, and stands 27 meters above the ground. It is the tallest religious structure in the city. We will stop at Central Market is located in the heart of the Phnom Penh. The Khmer name of the market is Phsar Thmei, which translates to “new market”. The Central Market was built in 1937 during the French colonial period, in Art Deco style, and is painted bright ochre. We enjoy our cyclo ride along the riverside. This laidback tour gives us a different perspective of the streets and sights of the city. We will enjoy a cruise for view sunset on the Mekong and Tonle Sap River (1 hour). Situated at the “Four Arms” where the Mekong meets the Tonle Sap River before splitting into tow branches, Phnom Penh offers the ideal location to discover the mighty Mekong.

We drive about 4 hours by car to one of the best beach in Cambodia – Sihanouk Ville. Arrive in Sihanouk Ville, we take fast boat to Koh Rong Island “Little Paradise”.
