HANOI ARRIVAL

Upon arrival to Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi, you will be warmly welcomed by our staff and transferred to your hotel where you will meet your VXA agent. There you will be given all the information about your tour, the local currency in case you asked for it, and your agent will answer any questions that you could have. After the check-in enjoy your own time for discovering the city or just to relax after the long trip.

1

HANOI – DUONG LAM ANCIENT VILLAGE

Pick you up from your hotel and depart for Duong Lam Village which is about 60 km west of Hanoi. This village has been known as a museum of laterite with ancient houses aged up to 400 years old. It is also the only place in Vietnam where the two kings came from. King Phung Hung and Ngo Quyen – the two heroes who led resistance wars against China’s Sung and Southern Han troops to recover national independence.

Walk or bike around the village, you will explore the special architecture, traditional culture and traditions of countryside of Vietnam which is still well preserved today.

After lunch at local household, head to Mia Pagoda, built during the Tran Dynasty before 1632 and still preserves many ancient artifacts. Mong Phu is the biggest and the most famous commune of Duong Lam Village. Here, you also can admire ancient houses made of laterite and mud, two materials that are abundant in the area, stroll in small lanes, and watch local people in their daily activities.

Back to Hanoi in the afternoon.

2

HANOI – MAI CHAU

Depart from Ha Noi for around 4-hour drive along rolling hill to Hoa Binh province, stop at some road passes for a birds’-eye view of landscapes of several Muong villages. Arrive in Mai Chau, check in your hotel, relax and have lunch.

In the afternoon, relax for a bit before embarking on a bicycle ride through Mai Chau’s breathtaking landscape. Cycle on small footpaths through rice paddies and interact with local residents as they work on the fields. Take out your camera and admire the majestic mountains that rise at every turn. Visit several villages and deeply understand the daily life and cultural customs of the locals. Back to the hotel for dinner and free your own time to enjoy the atmosphere of green valley.

MAI CHAU – HANOI

Get up early to witness the region bathing in morning sunlight and enjoy a delectable breakfast. Afterwards, go for a three-hour hike along the area’s traditional paths. The walk includes some trails up and down the hills, but not too strenuous thanks to plenty of breaks.

On your hike, visit some White Thai villages, learn more about their everyday lifestyle, culture and customs. Enjoy the stunning scenery and take photos at spectacular vista points or just relax in this pristine Vietnamese setting where few outsiders venture. Enjoy lunch before driving back to Hanoi.

HANOI – HOA LU – TAM COC – MUA CAVE

Pick up and transfer to Hoa Lu – an ancient citadel of 3km2 – to visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh dynasty (968-980), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Ly dynasty (980-1009). Continue to have a boat ride on Ngo Dong river, visit Tam Coc scenery- one of the most famous places in Ninh Binh. You have the chance to visit amazingly nature blessed caves on a romantic boat rowed by local people. Just admire the beauty and take photos to save your time with its beauty. Have lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, it is time to take a biking tour around villages. You will cycle through narrow lane road to see the rice field and feel the pure atmosphere in the countryside. After that exploring Mua Cave which means dancing cave in Vietnamese. You climb up on around 500 steps to top offering the panorama view of Ngo Dong River and Tam Coc. Having a short rest before coming back Hanoi.

HANOI – HALONG

Depart from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay to cruise amongst the bay’s spectacular scenery. After check-in and security briefings, you will set sail, enjoying lunch while cruising through fishing village, visit a beach area. The vessel will stop at an island, you can feel free to go swimming during summer time, go kayaking, at night, you can ask the cruise to go on squid fishing at night. Enjoy a demonstration with the cooking demostration with a vietnamese chef as he prepares traditional Vietnamese food. Dinner is served on board.

HALONG – HANOI – HUE

Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, visit beautiful limestone grotto then back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Ha Long Bay while cruising back to the dock. Back to the wharf. Say goodbye Ha Long Bay and go back to Ha Noi. Transfering to Noi Bai airport to take a domestic flight to Hue.

Arrival at Phu Bai airport in Hue, our driver will pick you up and take you to the hotel, check-in and relax.

HUE CITY TOUR

Pick up from hotel in Hue to visit the elaborate Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh – the twelfth king of the Nguyen dynasty, built in 11 years (1920-1931) with a blend of Western and Eastern architecture. The next attraction is Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, the fourth emperor with longest reign of the Nguyen Dynasty. The tomb closely reflect Eastern architecture and was constructed when the King was still on the throne and spent plenty time here as his place of residence.

Continue the journey to discover the Imperial Citadel, which is the most massive structure completed between 1804 and 1833 under the Nguyen dynasty. When visiting this construction, you have a chance to explore the royal architecture, admire its ancient charm and a fortification guarded by 80 bunkers and a deep trench of 40m large, connected by a bridge in front of ten gates as well as review the country’s history.

In the late afternoon, pay a visit to Dong Ba market, the biggest and most significant market in Central Vietnam. This is the place of traditional local products in wide variety, from the conical hats, toothpicks to luxurious jewelleries. Enjoy a boat trip on the romantic Perfume River and visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda. Back to your hotel.

HUE – DA NANG – HAFL DAY HOI AN CITY TOUR

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel then depart for Hoi An ancient town that takes about 3 hours. On the way, stop at Hai Van Pass or Sea Clouds Pass, the most dangerous mountain pass in Vietnam yet the breathtaking views worth all the effort. From the top, you could see the East sea and a part of Da Nang City. Enjoy the view down to Lang Co Beach while breathing in the fresh air from the forest. You also stop at Marble Mountains, here is famous for its extremely impressive scenery, attractive natural caves and stone-cutting crafts.

Forward the trip to the charming Hoi An Town following the narrow lanes, standing the ancient houses on both sides blending with Chinese, Japanese style and a bit of European. The 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Meeting Hall, Tan Ky House are some quick suggestions for your plan in Hoi An. Besides a numerous art galleries, museum and tailor shops, where you can get some quick made-to-measure clothes, are also the options to visit. After that, we move to hotel, check-in and free your time to discover Hoi An in the invening.

HOI AN – A FREE DAY

Enjoy the freedom of a full day at your own disposal. Relaxing at your resort or discover narow streets with colorful lanterns in Hoi An. Since it is also very famous for tailor made clothing stores, if you would like a traditional Vietnamese costume “Aodai”, you would have the dress within 12 hours.

HOI AN – DA NANG – HAFT DAY HCM CITY TOUR

Free your own time until our staff pick you up and transfer to Da Nang airport for the domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat international airport, our staff will pick you and and take you to a local restaurant for lunch. On the way, the tour guide will give you brief itinerary and interesting informatoin about Ho Chi Minh City.

Start the city tour by visiting Reunification Palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) that was built in 1962 and is well-known as an outstanding example of 1960’s architecture, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Ben Thanh Market – the symbol of Saigon. Learn more about China town through visiting Binh Tay market – the biggest wholesales market in Chinese town – and Thien Hau temple – the worshipping place of Chinese community. After the tour, we move to hotel, check in and relax.

HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA (MY THO) – HO CHI MINH

Depart from Sai Gon and drive to My Tho located in the heart of the Mekong Delta. When arriving in My Tho, take a day boat on the Mekong River and its multiple canals to Ben Tre. Visit a floating fish cages, fruit gardens where you can enjoy fresh tropical fruits and enjoy traditional music (called Don Ca Tai Tu). Continue the trip by walking through narrow lands, come over an orchid garden house to enjoy honey tea. Next destination is coco candy ricepaper factory where you can taste the unique local specialties. Take a coach ride to visit garden, feel a pure atmosphere in the countryside and see daily life of locals. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant before rowing back the pier. You come back Ho Chi Minh after the trip.
